Gugulethu Mbatha (better known by the name Gugu-Mbatha Raw) is a British actor and film actress who became famous after she appeared in the BBC show "Doctor Who", the British science-fiction TV series. Handler's dad was Jewish as was her mother. She raised up Reform Judaism. Handler had a pleasant and healthy life living in a safe neighborhood. When she was in her early 20s, Handler relocated into Los Angeles in order to pursue acting. Handler had to turn into an actress in order to survive. Handler took the decision to pursue stand-up acting when she was 21, when she recognized her story telling abilities. Handler began her stand-up career becoming a member of the only female Oxygen group, who starred in a TV show named Girls Behaving BADLY. The show was renowned for its hidden camera as well as humorous jokes. It aired from 2002 until 2005. The host was later employed in many other shows like Weekends at D.L.
